Volunteer with sick kids in hospital
Our Starlight Express Rooms are medical-free havens in every children's hospital in Australia.
Starlight Express Room Volunteers support Captain Starlight, ensuring visitors to the room have the best possible experience. You'll help set activities up, welcome families and engage the kids with fun things to do. There's art, craft, games, dancing, movies, quizzes, general silliness – bringing happiness to sick kids is so much fun!
This is a regular commitment with at least two shifts in the Starlight Express Room each month. You’ll quickly feel part of the team and make even more of an impact.
“Joining the Starlight family is the best thing I ever did. I always feel like I gain so much more from volunteering than I give back. Not only do I get to help brighten someone's day, but my time at Starlight has taught me more about myself and helped me grow into a leader, than any other paid job has. If you're looking for the same sort of experience, I'd say don't hesitate to apply!” - Tina
